Senior Megan Lunderman has been recognized by St. Francis Indian School and the Associated School Boards of South Dakota for being in the top One-Percent. Statewide, nearly 215 students were recognized Monday for being among the top 1% of graduating seniors. The 36th Annual Academic Excellence Recognition luncheon honored students for their academic achievement throughout high school. The students received a certificate, commemorative pin, and the chance to meet Lieutenant Governor Tony Venhuizen. Venhuizen told the students that being in the top 1% of their class is, quote, truly remarkable, and it shows a willingness to work hard. Associated School Boards President Shane Roth says the hard work the students put in is an investment in their future. Pierre had two students represented. Congratulations to Megan Lunderman for earning that prestigious honor!
