A big congratulations to Tamaske Spotted Tail and Kellan Crow Dog on passing their weld certification test. They are now certified welders. A big thank you to CTE Teacher Leo Guerue for getting the students there.
Tamaske and Kellan have weld tested and successfully certified in the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) process 2F Fillet weld ½” inch gauge T- joint. In the welding world, this means the student is capable of welding with the GMAW, MIG (metal inert gas), wirefeed processes; all 3 are the same process just called different names. The student is qualified to weld in position 2 (horizontal, sideways), laying down Fillet weld beads, the most common type of weld beads. They are set to weld metal up to 1/2” inch thick in positions 1 (flat position) and position 2.
