The BIE testing for high school starts today. All juniors or 11th grade students need to be at school and on time all week to complete the reading, math, and science testing. St. Francis Indian School will be having an honoring on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school gym to honor the high school boy's basketball team for qualifying for the SoDak 16 basketball regional tournament! A meal will be served. The community is welcome and may bring a dessert if they would like. There will be a Pep Rally on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the high school gym. The basketball game will be held on Tuesday and more information will be shared once we know who we are scheduled to play. There will be a pep bus available. To be considered present the students must be log in as attendance will be taken by the teacher. Failure to log in will be considered absent. Due to the weather the forecast of a severe snow storm on Tuesday March 4, 2025. SFIS will be having online virtual school and potentially Wednesday March 5, 2025.
All students' laptops will be sent home today. To be considered present the students must be log in as attendance will taken by the teacher. Failure to log in they will be considered absent.
Students what were identified will be given MiFi boxes per family.

SFIS will be delivering student lunches today 2-20-25. The staff will leave the school at 11:00 a.m. and attempt to deliver to each house. Please be on the look out for the school staff. Call the building principals if you have any questions. 605-747-2299

We will have a late start tomorrow, February 20, 2025 for students at 10:00am. Staff is to report at 9:30am. This is due to the wind chill factor being sub-zero in the morning.

We are postponing tomorrow Girls Basketball game at Mahpiya Luta to Saturday February 22nd, 2025. The JV game will start at 3:00pm central followed by Varsity.
Note: SDHSAA extended the regular season to Saturday February 22nd, 2025.
